Deck Conn Updates Hub

Launch day, patches, and the notes that should change your power plan.

Updates Hub Overview

Deck Conn went live on Steam on September 1, 2026. This hub is the timeline. The first long note is Launch Notes. The Steam diary that shipped with 1.0 is Burst Transmissions. Come back whenever a build could invalidate a tier list or a power doctrine.

Why an updates hub exists on day two

Launch-week wikis rot when they pretend the 1.0 feature list is eternal. Funtime Electrics already described a long iteration history in the Steam news post that accompanied release. Expect patches. Expect the English-only store page to gain a language or a Deck verification later — or not. Until it is written on Steam, it is a rumor.

When you see a patch:

  1. Read the official notes on Steam (link from the links hub).
  2. Skim this hub and the launch page for what we have already logged.
  3. Re-run one standalone scenario from Combat before you restamp crew promotions.
  4. Revisit the systems tier list if buses, costs, or sensors changed.
  5. Only then take a campaign patrol with the old ego.

What counts as an update on this wiki

  • Steam client builds and official news posts.
  • Language, platform, or Steam Deck verification changes on the store.
  • Price or intro-offer windows that affect buyers reading the review.
  • Feature list changes that touch capture, power, or patrols.

What does not count:

  • Datamine screenshots without a public note.
  • “I heard” Discord balance claims.
  • Invented roadmaps.

Current snapshot (launch week)

  • Release: September 1, 2026, Steam.
  • Developer: Funtime Electrics. Publisher: MicroProse Software.
  • Mode: single-player. No multiplayer.
  • Interface language listed: English.
  • Achievements listed: 14.
  • Price: $14.99 with an introductory discount advertised at launch.
  • Steam Deck: unknown compatibility at launch.

If any of those lines change, this hub changes. Until then, treat Getting Started as the live manual and this page as the date stamp.

New captains still belong in Guides. Tool users belong in Tools. Anyone checking whether the game is even for them belongs in the review. Official store, publisher, and trailer links live on Links.

How to read a Steam news post

Funtime Electrics’ launch-day post talked about iteration as much as features. Future notes may be short. Translate them into wiki jobs: if sensors change, update Combat and the systems tier list. If capture language changes, update Capture or Destroy. If a language row appears on Steam, say so here and stop telling French readers the client is English-only. If a Deck verification appears, update system requirements. Do not rewrite the campaign walkthrough because a news post used the word “endless” again. That word was already on the box.
